China Business Visa / Chinese Business Visa:

M Visa: issued to an individual who is invited to China for a business visit, to do business, or other business and trading activities. Can be 10-year multiple entries with 60 days stay for each entry. 

F Visa: issued to an individual who is invited to China for scientific or technological meeting/conference, culture exchanges,  sports or arts related activities, and/or other NON-business activities for no longer than six months. Most likely will be 3-month single entry with 30 or 60 days stay for each entry.

For US citizens, if you need to apply for a 10 years Chinese Visa, your passport must have 12 months validation and 2 blank VISA pages. The last 3 pages don't count since they are amendment pages.

You MUST choose the correct China Embassy / China Consulate FIRST in order to start your application.

So please follow the Consular Jurisdiction Mapof Chinese Embassy and Consulates-General in the United States to CORRECTLY choose where to submit your online application to start your online application.

Specifically, when you are filling out the online application form:

1. your name must be identical with your passport:

• Family Name is the Surname: 1^st line of your US passport;
• Given Name is your first and middle name: 2^nd line of your US passport! Your Middle name must shown here! Not just your first name.

2. For your Education and Work Experience:

• Section 3 Working Experience: Please do include "Position" and "Duty"! Those two cannot be blank.
• Section 4 Education: "Major" must be included. If no major, please put "general study".  

BEFORE clicking the "SUBMIT" button, STOP ON REVIEW PAGE! Do NOT submit!

Please email us the Application ID, copy of your passport, and Business Invitation Letter (if you already have it) in ONE email FIRST (not in separate emails!) to make sure no changes need to be made. Once submit, you cannot modify it. We will review your online application, submit, then email you the complete pdf version of your online application form for you to sign, as well as a simplified documents checklist for your case.

Important: 

Printing Instructions for application material:

• Please print the cover barcode confirmation page on 1-page to make sure the signature section is on the same page with the barcode section!
• For all application material, including the 10-page online application print-out, NO both-side printing allowed!
• Please make sure the right top small barcode and the bottom page number are all shown on each page! If some part of the page is not shown, please shrink the printing percentage from 100% to 95% or 90%, or for some printer, it has the "shrink to printable area" option, then you can have everything printed out. 
• For adults: Don't forget to sign, in ink, both cover barcode page, and the last page (section 9.1A in the middle, NOT 9.2!!) of your application form! No Digital signature will be accepted.
• For minors: parent need to sign your name and child's name at 3 places: barcode page bottom, section 9.1 AND section 9.2!

Final Application Package that you need to mail to/drop off at our office:

1. Signed online COVA Visa Application Formprint-out (No both-side printing allowed!) with signed Barcode cover page: the barcode confirmation page must be printed on 1-page!
2. Your current ORIGINAL Passport and a copy of your passport photo page
   • Your ORINGAL passport  must be valid for at least six months before it expires and have at least ONE blank VISA page (the last three pages don't count since they are amendment pages).
   • For US citizens, if you need 10 years Chinese Visa, your passport must have 12 months validation and 2 blank VISA pages.
3. A copy of your driver license
4. Formal Business Invitation letter (the inviter MUST from China mainland!)
   • Formal business invitation letter with a Chinese company's letterhead and inviter's signature / CIRCLE company seal.
   • MUST including the following information:
     1. Invited information: name (applicants' FULL name, shown exact the same as passports), gender, passport number, date of birth;
     2. Visit information: date of arrival and leaving, cities going to visit, purpose of visit, relationship with inviter, who will pay for the trip;
     3. Inviter's information: company's name, phone, FAX number, address, signature/ CIRCLE shape seal and date.
5. copy of a Business Letter from your company/Employer: including your FULL NAME matching passport, DOB and passport number, position and duty of your current job, purpose of your China trip, AND who will pay for the trip; Signed and dated by your colleague.
6. One 2*2 photos on white background (Homemade Digital Photographs are not acceptable!)

8. Work Gap Statement if there was a gap longer than 1-year in the past 5 years. 
9. If you are currently working, please complete the Job Description form. Especially for self-employed, please describe in detail what you do and in which industry your work is!   
10. Order Form (page 1- section 1 and 2 ONLY, need update!)
11. For Non-US Citizens: the copy of your green card OR your working permit in US, I-20, valid US visa or other legal documents.
12. If you were born in Turkey, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Nigeria, Cameroon, Ghana, etc., even you are holding a US passport now, please complete the Additional Info form and provide a copy of your personal resume.
    
    • please answer ALL the questions. For the questions which are not applicable, put "N/A".
13. Copy of your last Chinese visa, if any. If the applicant were born in China mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan, the copy of old Chinese visa is a HAVE-TO!

• If you request expedite service, the application package must be received by 10:30 am.
• For safety concern, signature confirmation is highly recommended for documents delivery. If you choose to ship your documents without a signature confirmation, we are not responsible for any lost documents.
• Uncompleted or inaccurate application form can cause the delay or denial of visa application.

*** F visa determined by consular based on visit purpose etc. For DC China Embassy, normally it's only 3-month single entry, no multiple entries. 

For Canada Passport holders:

The validation of 10 year China visa  is based on the validation of the applicant's current Canada passport:

Visa validation (1 yr, 2 yrs, 3 yrs, ..., 9 yrs) + Duration of each stay ( up to 60 days for Tourist and Business, up to 90 days for non-Chinese family visit, 120 or 180 days for Chinese family visit) MUST <= passport validation

Note:

1. For Expedite China Visa Services:

·         Please ensure we receive your package BEFORE 10:30am, Otherwise, a 1-day delay is possible. Fedex Priority Overnight 10:30 am delivery is recommended. Do NOT use First Overnight, since the driver would come on 6 am  or 7 am while nobody is here. 

·         Please ensure you have at least 2 blank VISA pages on your passport (The last 3 pages do not count! They are amendment pages and can NOT be used for visas).

2. 对原籍中国 (出生地为大陆、台湾、香港、澳门) 的申请者， 及其非中国出生的配偶和直系血亲子女，或者现在仍是中国公民，但其配偶或直系血亲子女是美国公民的申请者，请注意您的材料准备：

·         如您寄过来的美国护照上有中国签证，请复印最后一张签证，并和您的申请表等其他材料一同寄来；

·         如您寄过来的美国护照上没有任何中国签证，且您曾签过中国签证，请附上旧中国签证的复印件；

·         如您是入美籍之后第一次回国，请务必把最后一本中国护照原件寄来和入籍纸的复印件(如果您最后一本中国护照的失效日期在您 US Passport 生效日期之前，请致电咨询，因可能要求其他特殊材料！), 否则使领馆将不予受理签证申请；出生地为港澳的申请人请附上以前港澳ID的copy；出生地为台湾的申请人请附上以前台湾护照或台湾出生证的copy；

·         如您是入美籍之后第一次回国，从未办过中国签证，亦没有中国护照原件，或者曾签过中国签证，但不在即将寄来的护照上，而且找不到旧签证复印件，请去使领馆面签。

3. 原籍/现籍中国人的非中国出生的美籍配偶或子女，除以上材料外，还需准备：

·         配偶需结婚证复印件 + 原籍/ 现籍中国人配偶的：美国护照照片页复印件或中国护照照片页复印件及其在美绿卡，签证，或I20等复印件；

·         子女需出生证复印件 + 父母（双方）的美国护照照片页复印件或中国护照照片页复印件及其在美绿卡，签证，或I20等复印件；

·         如原籍/现籍中国人现护照上的名字和结婚证或出生证上名字不完全一致的，请附上更名纸的复印件。
